PREPARATION
- Dice the shallots and garlic, then fry them slowly in olive oil until golden brown.
- Add the fried shallots and garlic to a large mixing bowl with the remaining ingredients.
- Shape the mixture into approximately 10 meatballs by pinching the mixture and rolling it in the palms of your hands.
- In the same pan, fry the meatballs on a gentle heat, turning them until each side is golden brown.
- Once the meatballs are browned, add the plum tomatoes and season with salt and pepper.
- Break down the larger pieces of tomato with a spatula and mix the meatballs well into the sauce.
- Allow the meatballs to simmer on low heat until the tomato sauce thickens.
- Transfer the meatballs and sauce to a serving plate.
